There’s one bad karaoke place on Sawtelle that charged me and my friends $70 for the equivalent of two songs each, two alcoholic drinks and a juice for me: Most places that aren’t private room are great for karaoke.

oof! haha, that's rough we have a cute korean private room karaoke place that's $10/person/hour and has surprisingly cheap snack service, so it's not too bad for a whole group also it's on top of a bakery and if you're there around closing sometimes there's cheap / free baked goods
