Almost everyone who touts the benefit of private healthcare is hoping to profit from private healthcare.

Docs went on strike to protest single-payor health care. They gave in finally. Probably negotiated some things. I expect some went to the US. To be fair I doubt it was 100% about money in their pocket. But at the time … I was 8-10 family of 7… small town… nobody had money for doc let alone dentist …

There is an advocacy idea and contact information for the PM in here ⤵️ We don’t have health system accountability in Canada and elections don’t “fix” healthcare bsky.app/profile/shan...

Write & ask PM Carney to fund a National Citizens Assembly on Healthcare for these 3 core issues: 1) Jurisdiction 2) For Profit vs Non-Profit delivery 3) At Fault vs No-Fault harm in care compensation. S Korea Nationalized healthcare and it paid off big time. #cdnhealth 1/4

Tried the US system out once; I was insured, but they double bill. So I got to see the costs. Not pretty. I got off easy. And the person beside me in the ER was incoherent. Doc refused treatment because they could not confirm they could pay. That sucks in a life and death situation. For profit.

Sure and we will do nothing, why? Trump is a pig Murdering pig Gop =guardians of pedophiles Fk gop Get pissed people RELEASE THE TRUMP/EPSTEIN FILES NOW Fdt terrorism Fdt terrorists Fdt terrorist scotus and judges and ag’s Fdt terrorist military Fdt terrorist federal agencies

My mom’s doc opted out of OHIP when they had a choice, and he lost most of his patients, so he rejoined. I think most people won’t want privatization if they knew the actual COSTs of the bills you will receive. Many have to remortgage their homes (or sell) to pay.
