For those of us who have already changed our usernames, do we need to change back to a `bsky.social` username and back again to our custom domain, or is this change retroactive?

I suppose it could not be retroactive, because in some cases it would no longer be possible (because that handle might have been taken in the meantime). So, those cases would cause problems.

Anyone who, like me, has changed their bsky to a custom domain it is worth swapping back briefly to reserve your .bsky account name

@thehappywheels1.com and there we got our answer! So I guess change the username of your main back to the .bsky.app one and than chance it back to your domain.
