As I wrote, it's just for rich and famous people. Especially now, with gasoline prices as high as never before, only those people can afford it and call it a hobby. It doesn't benefit the public or society. But go ahead, feel free to support it. In my opinion it sets a wrong sign for the public

This isn't about pre-cat cars. It's 1976-85. They're still subject to a hefty fine if they remove the cats. They're also limited to 1000 miles a year.

Banning every single old car from the roads is a silly idea from the start. Their numbers will decrease in time. California has to be one of the most over-regulated locations on the entire planet.
