EV tires are also more expensive. But that's because they're made of stronger rubber (because of the weight/insta torque), and are usually noise dampening (no engine to mask tire noise). I think failing to rotate and not buying EV tires is how you get "twice as often."

Lots of data to back up twice as often with brands like Tesla. More mainstream stuff, less often. I'm at 30k on my IONIQ 5 and tires are still green, likely lasting 45k to 55k, love it!

2. If you *do* need to replace the battery out of warranty, EV battery costs have been plummeting and continue to (even with the Trump Admin's attack on the industry). Right now they average around $111/kWh...which would be around $7,100 for my Kia Niro EV. www.recurrentauto.com/research/cos...

recurrentauto.comElectric Car Battery Replacement CostsWhen it comes to electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, many shoppers wonder how long it will be until they have to replace their battery. Then what will it cost to replace that battery?

The battery in an EV is made of many smaller cells. EV batteries do not fail all at once, the way a starting battery in an ICE car does. They gradually lose cells over time, reducing the overall capacity, and thus the range, of the vehicle. Used EV batteries work fine for home solar power storage.
