Fuck you Brandon... fuck you to the end of the fucking world and fuck Xbox... This bullshit non-dev who makes a rough ugly thing and says - OMG I've seen god, ship it!! Though no one will ever want to play it. And they can afford to pay this fucks salary but not keep double fine... good choice!

My theory is that AI interacts uniquely with exec Dunning–Kruger. Managers who aren't hands on see a prototype spun up without interacting with their teams and think everything else is incremental *because they've never had to worry about the rest of the process*.

From an exec perspective, game making is a prompt at greenlight, a loading bar and then a thing coming the other end. The idea that an AI is doing steps of that process is indistinguishable from spending bllions of tokens wheelspinning.

Which, and this is my caveat, doesn't mean you can't use AI tools in a workflow and have it be a functional, or even creative. Just where and how is a nuanced question that is WAY below the resolution your average gaming top brass (or the audience, at this point) can resolve.

Yeah man, preach. There are decades of playtime of excellent indie games made by real people trying to tell stories worth telling. We dont need these shites.

Getting drunk on the AI juice seems extremely fun and normal /s > Amid his stream of consciousness, he asserts that if he's suddenly let go from his position, it's "because I told you the truth that nobody wants you to know."
