Surveillance pricing should be illegal. Prices shouldn’t change between shoppers, zip codes, or the weather. Texans deserve fair pricing at ALL times.

I looked up an electronic device on the Walmart app while at my sibling’s house about a four hour drive from mine. They looked up the same device and the price difference was $100. We couldn’t figure out why, but I Venmo’d them for it…

Point of order: Walmart (and everyone else) has been taking advantage of supply and demand for a long time. The really big problem with surveillance pricing is that the ice cream costs $5 for Alice, $4.50 for Bob, and $6.89 for Charlie, and nobody except the company knows why.

I wonder how Walmart would react if people filled their carts, scanned items, reversed any they didn't like the price of & left the reversed items at the register? If the scanner doesn't allow reversal, just leave everything & refuse to pay

They are changing the sale conversation from “what does this cost” to “how much are you willing to pay”? I don’t like haggling for FOOD. As one of the largest companies with the highest disparity between CEO pay and worker pay, Walmart is simply being as unscrupulous and evil as ever.

Walmart has priced according to the neighborhood for years & years. You’ll pay lower prices in a lower income, & higher prices for the same items in a higher income neighborhood.
