Target, UnitedHealth, Best Buy, Cargill and dozens of other Minnesota-based companies issued a joint statement Sunday calling for an “immediate de-escalation of tensions” and for “state, local and federal officials to work together to find real solutions.” https://cnn.it/4r78YLU

Those companies should be calling out the aggressor, not the State of Minnesota, or the City of Minneapolis. This is on the Trump administration to reverse course, to stop violating people's constitutional rights & hold federal agents accountable to their crimes based on the rule of law.

This administration has taken away legal pathways for immigrants who are here, or are trying to come to the US, then arresting & deport them, claiming they are here illegally. ICE & CBP are racially profiling, a violation of the Constitution.

There's no both sides on this. ICE is the issue, if ICE did things legally and wasn't kidnapping, assaulting and killing people, there wouldn't be so much tension and unrest. Citizens of Minnesota are just out there protecting each other and documenting the ICE's crimes.

They didn’t break their silence. They issued a mealy mouthed statement about “challenges” and a tragic event without actually acknowledging what was happening

Who do they think they're talking to? I know they're not talking to the people of Minnesota. I know they're not talking like we don't know who's responsible for the violence. This'd better be a letter they address to the White House. I'm so glad I haven't spent any money in Target in a year.

This does NOT show the corporations understand right from wrong. It shows that they are worried about their profit. If they are serious about stopping tyranny, they can quit funneling money to the dictator and provide fair employment and benefits to legal residents.

Corporations don't care about defining "legal". If they need low-cost labor they hire folks that provide whatever identification suits them. Corporations don't ask for citizenship papers when selling products or services. Corporations don't care about legal or illegal immigration. Only profit.

Don't care about these multi-billion dollar industries... maybe when they ask the SCOTUS to overturn the Citizen United decision and they return to DEI practices that reflect USA and go back to paying the corporate pre Reagan tax rate, then I may consider their products again, until then....NOPE

They need to be frank with themselves by addressing the root cause of the escalation and stop pretending local officials are it. A big part of this problem is ignoring the reality because they are too afraid to do so. That only prolongs the issue furthering the ongoing manufactured conflict.

And all illegal aliens need to self deport or turn themselves in so they can face an immigration judge… When law enforcement makes people, who break the laws, uncomfortable, is that harassment? Is that bullying?

Target broke their silence because business is really bad for them since they decided to side with dear leader. They’re trying to get back into the good graces of shoppers to boost their profits again.

The only way to fight this without triggering the insurrection act is to use their greed against them. National strike, limit buying to local small businesses. Their addiction to power and wealth will force them to lobby to end this. And this is the only group Trump will listen to.

I'm missing the opinion of banks, which may not receive loan installments. Since the law no longer exists, there's no need to repay the debt, including federal taxes. The federal government will assume responsibility for this.
