Six beluga whales from Canada were transported to the United States by truck and airplane. The whales were sent to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and SeaWorld San Antonio.

This is really sad. The 6 were at a Marineland park, but it closed so the whales were at risk of euthanasia. So this is a "rescue" op. They were born inside Marineland Canada's tanks from two Belugas captured near Russia. These 6 beautiful whales have never seen the ocean in their lives.

Appalling behaviour. I expected better from Canada. But then, our country's capacity to disappoint is a daily, if not hourly event. SURELY we know that Seaworld is an abomination of a prison for these beautiful creatures? Watch them on TV, not in a cage, ffs.
