Ukraine launched one of its biggest drone attacks this year on Russia overnight on Saturday, hitting a key oil terminal in defiance of US President Donald Trump's demand it stop hitting Russian energy infrastructure. CNN's Nada Bashir reports.

Ukraine is a sovereign country. They are defending themselves against a neighbour who has invaded them. Trump simply has no say in this. This is not in defiance but simply doing what’s necessary to stay alive. Not everything is about Trump.

hitting oil terminals in defiance of a call to stop is not bravery, it is escalation with a spotlight. every energy strike makes the war harder to end and the hunger around it worse. the ceasefire crowd only cheers when the fire points east.
