A second valid criticism has presented itself in our fireworks thread. We are being called out for using an example from 'The Rock' (1996) for public health purposes instead of a much more applicable example from Armageddon (1998) where Jason Isaacs really does make the most of a minor role.

When letting the public know that in 2025 an estimated 13,000 emergency department-treated injuries were linked to fireworks misuse and malfunction, it is important to use the best example. We regret this oversight and will spend our life in this sweet surrender.

Proper use should drastically reduce the risk of injury from malfunction, BTW. Choosing safer varieties of fireworks can also do this.

Safety doesn't have to be boring. Lower Temperature sparks have drastically improved in recent years due to rapid advances in chemistry. Sparks can also be made smaller for less total thermal energy now, due to manufacturing advances.

Advances in structural science allow more intricate crackles, bangs and whistles requiring less charge and less maximum volume to make exciting sounds.

There are several such films. Many stunt men have accidental experience with this sort of thing, both minor and major injuries, so finding a reliable first hand account in Hollywood to describe is not hard.
