Pictured: adequate safety equipment

Weird how our government seems to prefer getting rid of any protection for all Americans when it comes to EPA and CDC. Let’s all play safely with a helmet before dying of preventable diseases in a man made climate catastrophe!

obviously wear all the protection, but wrist braces and helmet are an *absolute* must. throwing out hands is just an automatic reaction.

I read years ago that if you hit your head in a helmet, you need to replace it. Urban myth?

i remember when this video was braaaaand new..... 🧓

This man would almost certainly be dead if wasn’t wearing a helmet. I had a friend in college do almost exactly what happened in the video without a helmet. He remembered standing at the top of the hill and then waking up in the hospital. It’s a miracle he’s alive today.

I remember the time I saw a cyclist lose their rear wheel. Guy went backwards *hard*. If he hadn't had his helmet on, it would have been *bad*. As it was, he was able to walk away with a mild concussion.

Same. Remember to get checked out regardless because concussions suck
