Yes, 2025 isn't looking like it will be a great year. Right wing authoritarianism is rising. Global warming continues unabated. The world is as fractured as ever. But at least we can count on one positive thing: it is the Year of Linux Desktop.

I'm an early adopter, but I've been running either SuSE (don't use that, it's buggy, ditched it in 2004) or Gentoo on my desktop since 2000.
