I wanted to give you all a sneak peak of TanStack Form v2. Luca, one of our maintainers, has been working hard on a complete rewrite of the package using new architecture patterns. Minimal breaking changes in userland, insane performance gains. Here's v2 rendering 10,000 fields with validation.

This has no virtual scrolling and the FPS on the recording itself is low, BTW. We've validated against the production version of v1 and at this stage can confirm that v2 rendering 10,000 nodes is MUCH faster than v1 rendering 1,000 nodes. And that's even with validation!

All controlled. No pre-release because we're still early in experimentation and don't want to spook folks with unrelated breaking changes that might not even land in production. We have some RFCs/demos we share internally and with trusted users, but nothing public yet.

Different level of support. We can handle validators, but not default values through standard schema (there's no universal ".default" state value) so it can't be 1:1

any chance the react connector will work with follow rules of react (and not break with compiler on by default)?

Will it still use tanstack store? There was a breaking change in a minor version of forms where we lost access to the previous value in the store and it broke a wrapper we had built. Just curious if we should expect more api changes

It will, but I'm unclear what breaking change in particular you're referring to. Form itself has been stable, Store has not (altho it likely will be soon)
