I don't think he uses his faith to govern. He is just very honest about his faith. Jimmy Carter was a devoutly born-again Christian who was very honest about his faith and used it to bring a more moral, honest, and humble perspective to the presidency.

I think Talarico’s faith following would be an advantage for Dems to use him elsewhere to appeal to the evangelicals who are leaving MAGA, but the Senate is critical to have votes come beyond midterms

I’m just happy that there’s this kind of excitement over a Democratic primary in Texas. That means the seat might actually be in play. I love Jasmine, but I’d be ok with the Talarico guy as well. I just hope Texans show up in November for whoever makes it through.
