If I may brag a little : I had predicted that Swift would do well on servers right when it was first released ☺️. I'm glad to see I was right.

I think the killer feature of Swift over Java is that it has a consistent performance profile, because ARC adds the same penalty to each request, rather than a "stop the world" garbage collection on one of the requests. Lower and upper bounds of performance are very close and predictable.

And new Swift features like nonescapable and noncopyable types even allow to skip the ARC overhead completely
