Good lord this is rough. I kinda rotate and cycle through hobbies.
Recently I just canβt seem to commit to calligraphy again. I know I will eventually but itβs been a while.
Playing music. Iβve played the drums and flute semi-professionally and the guitar recreationally. I think Iβm too afraid of picking them back up and having forgotten how to play them. (Drums is also just a hard solo instrument lol)
Blogging. Even if it doesn't matter in this age of AI and video content. I want to write for the four people who will read it.
I have managed to get back to knitting and crocheting a little, at least!
Meanwhile other things are dependant on supply like hat making. Beaver and rabbit felt capeline blanks have to be sourced outside the country. There are issues with market access just now in both EU & US.
Drawing. My notes were always covered in little drawings (doodling helped me focus in class) and I used to draw pretty good likenesses of people. Got out of the habit, tried to get into it again recently and wasn't anywhere near as good at it anymore. Now I can't bring myself to try again.
D&D (and similar) games with my friends. Everyone is busy/overloaded enough that this will only happen if I find the headroom to plan and run it, and I think the other sometimes-GMs in my group are in the same wedge.
