Elise Stefanik doesn't want the Pope to get involved in domestic politics and I don't want our politicians to get involved in theology. The Bill of Rights starts "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" for a reason.

There is a similar story where legend says Klan decided to make their presence known at University of Dayton campus. They waited until school to be out to reduce the push back. They didn't count on the football team to still be there. The coach gave the team a green light to go beat their ass.

My Catholic father, a pro-Civil Rights marcher, admired ND and Knute Rockne. Athletes of all sports, too. And he wanted to live in Dayton after retiring. I wonder if all this tied into his thoughts. 😊
