i've been in the same boat seeing a large part of my hobby get ruined by people who only want the clout of doing something rather than simply doing it for the love of the game the impact AI has had to legitimate human expression has been more harmful than any theoretical productivity gains from it

this wave of AI has legitimately killed a huge part of what I loved about seeing stuff online, what I loved about being an educator, and what I loved about sharing my own work I just don't feel like doing it anymore

as an artist i've seen ai unveil what most people consider leisure; unoptimized revenue streams where having a product to sell is more important than the time spent learning and working towards a goal.
