I've been deploying a new major piece of software/infra recently; something that's being iterated on the fly in the field with live users. One thing that continuously shocks me is how people refuse to report issues and just work around them. If you don't report something it 'aint gonna fix itself.

The psychology behind ignoring and moving on is kind of wild to me. People rather just try to fix it the way they can instead of approaching an open channel ie direct contact with my team. The path of least resistance is report and fix, yet they take the hard headed approach. Always blows my mind.

Most culture doesn’t support the idea of an open channel that solely exists to make things better In general building trust and communication is key to improve such situation And congrats on the deployment!

I encourage those channels and welcome them frequently. The constant desire to solve the problem on their own is this psychological barrier that is a constant. Amazes me how no matter what you do ppl will circumvent process.
