What a weird world we live in - Ukraine hits a data centre deep in Russia - Irish twitter users see racist posts about IPAS centres in Offaly fall off a cliff

And now the best part: Bot traffic from the #Yandex network has plunged to near zero following the strike on its Vladimir data center. Bot traffic includes automated requests from search crawlers, scrapers and other online services. Twitter must be a ghost town by now.

Timing matters. I suspect more attacks on Russian data centres would likely to have a real impact on the amount of disinformation circulating in the US in the run up to the midterm elections, especially since early voting is starting. It's a strategy with a potential long term payoff for Ukraine.

Disrupting Russian disinformation is crucial for safeguarding democratic elections. However, achieving long-term resilience requires systemic solutions: regulating tech platforms, bolstering cybersecurity infrastructure, and investing in public media literacy rather than relying on escalation.

For all of them we rely on the curation to make up for the lack of direct human validation of the credibility of the information by things like body language, vocal tone, &c. And it's not just "media sources". It applies to our education systems and the growing use of online teaching. /

Finally, it applies *in spades* to information from LLMs. These actually *exploit* some aspects of human communication and especially use confirmation bias.
