Superman is a massive moral failure. He could stop wars and end world hunger, but he spends most of his time cosplaying as a journalist and rescuing people from car crashes.

I’m not unsympathetic to this argument, but to my mind, the gulf between what Superman could do and what he chose to do is a zillion orders of magnitude greater compared to Batman’s gulf.
