Not sure about Superman's cape, what does he need that for? A totally unnecessary accessory.

His cape is also highly damage resistant. Kryptonian fiber or something. Essentially lets him keep fire or exsplosions away from people as he tries to save them. Tldr supes cape also has super powers. Plus different versions different cape powers.

Fair enough, I didn't realise it was a life saver. I was just considering it as a sartorial accessory. I rescind my objection to 🦸‍♂️ cape.

I’m not unsympathetic to this argument, but to my mind, the gulf between what Superman could do and what he chose to do is a zillion orders of magnitude greater compared to Batman’s gulf.
