We had a smoke detector here that wouldn't stop beeping. Impossible to open. I put it outside hoping it would just stop. Went from periodic chirping to one long beep. I smashed it w/ my son's baseball bat. That's how I started my morning. Extremely therapeutic.

I had one beeping high on a staircase ceiling where I couldn’t fit a ladder — had to buy a long pole to push the button every 12 hours for a week until it finally died.
