Michigan hockey runs real deep. There are multiple NCAA teams, Major Junior all the way down to youth level. Hockey in Michigan is like football in Texas.

There may be a few others, but point taken - Important point here though is that you have a candidate for statewide office that doesn't know enough to fake being a hockey fan. Ted Cruz knows nothing about football but he knows enough to fake it.
