OK, I’ll bite. What countries in the Middle East are hard to pronounce? Many you already know from the Bible. Maybe if you were to breakdown the UAE or struggle with Qatar, but most are simple two syllable names

JD Vance says of the Middle East that it's "a region of the world made up of countries whose name I couldn't even pronounce"

This is like two steps from, “Americans are just too busy to keep up with politics. We should relieve them of this burden.”

Q: Why shouldn't Alaskans find it insulting that the administration is suggesting they can't read the word 'incumbent' on their ballot and know to vote for Sen. Sullivan? JD VANCE: People are busy. People have lives. People have jobs.

Four sporting events on now and the World Series game is the least competitive. After the first two games, I would not have seen that coming

I think I liked it better when the President and Vice President weren't constantly swearing during public speeches. Save it for the Oval Office

Do people get nostalgic for web sites they used to spend a lot of time on? Or maybe web comics they no longer read? I was just thinking of some sites I’d stopped using. They might still be running, but maybe going back now would ruin the nostalgia

What a strange week of football. The only thing that could make it stranger is for the Eagles and Cowboys to play an entertaining, competent game on Monday Night Football

Re: the Bill Maher post on Truth - I just can’t picture Trump using “transformative” in a sentence. Frankly, I can’t imagine most people using “transformative,” but that goes double for Trump.

(And I didn't think there would be so many sirens singing online. Seriously, if the government were to ban advertising for sports books, I don't know what these sites would do for ad revenue)

For the record, I have never seen a Cheesecake Factory and my view of it is mainly based on The Big Bang Theory and jokes about how big their menus are. On the whole, I would not see dining in a “factory” as a fancy experience

The Gophers have won the Little Brown Jug and Floyd of Rosedale. They play Penn State on November 14th for the Governor’s Victory Bell and Wisconsin for Paul Bunyan’s Axe after Thanksgiving. I’m worried that if Minnesota win all four traveling trophies in one year that’s end of the world sorta stuff

I have been reminded the Gophers currently have the Axe and also the $5 Bits of Broken Chair trophy. Minnesota and Nebraska don’t play this year, so Gophers keep the Broken Chair. This makes the Penn State game of world importance

Hadn’t made the connection that we set the clocks back on Halloween night. Add in the election on Tuesday and that’s a confusing four days

There’s a meme about things that have improved in your lifetime and I was thinking baseball coverage. I wish they’d turn down some of the glitz and I miss the old time voices, but the camera work and the info is so much better

Got a political mailing with AI generated art of a donkey kicking an old lady (kicking her to the curb) and I have to wonder if this actually works on anyone?

The last time they had a well-publicized search for a new Bond and got it down to 4 or 5 actors, they ended up with George Lazenby...

I was standing on the porch when a package arrived. The driver said they needed to take a photo for proof of delivery. So I held it up under the house number. After I went inside I got an email telling me my package was delivered with a photo of my arm holding up the package

The weather has been good for sleeping and then today I wake up two hours early. A sign it’s going to be too warm (for October) today?

American Graffiti is thought to be a 50s movie, but it was set in 1962. It was made in 1973. If you made the equivalent of American Graffiti today, it would be set in 2015

Saw an ad for a product where the video was obviously AI generated and now I want someone to buy it to see what it really looks like

I know everyone picks on the obvious word mistakes like using the wrong their/there/they're, but I wish people would also learn the difference between reign and rein

Did Trump start the war in Iran as a distraction? Maybe. More likely, the action against Venezuela went so well he presumed any other action would also go well. Venezuela has oil we're now taking. Iran has oil. He has said we should have taken the oil in Iraq. I think oil was the deciding factor

How long does a television show have to be off the air before it's appropriate to talk about a revival? Is there a point where a show has been off the air too long and a revival is impossible?

Let’s say it’s a blue tsunami. (Not sure it will be. It’s never as big as it seems.) Do the lame duck GOP suddenly grow spines? Does Vance see the 25th as the best path to the Oval Office? Maybe he just gets tired of being a lap dog. Does the media suddenly see a market for writing critical stories?

It’s always the closing number on this tour. Remember when they gave a big book that was supposed to be his health care plan to Lesley Stahl? They aren’t doing the big stacks of paper like they did in his first term

One of my favorite Twins games was sitting behind Brewers fans who were in town because Robin Yount was getting close to 3000 hits. Fun guys and it was a crazy game that went into extra innings
