When this night's over every SCOTUS member needs investigating very, very carefully. There is zero doubt they are corrupt and taking GOP money. The result should be 15 yesrs behind bars!!

Many people dismiss the notion that there are a significant number of people, so-called conservatives but more like fascists, who genuinely want a system where only white male property owners are permitted to vote. This is not risible conjecture. Many have stated as much.

I’m old enough to know when Dems had the chance to fortify the Voting Rights Act—they blinked! 🤦🏿‍♂️

I’m old enough to know when Dems had the chance to fortify the Voting Rights Act—they blinked! Their support for Black voters was always more performative than a priority. Now, SCOTUS & Trump’s continued gutting of the law won't just harm Black voters—it'll dismantle voting rights for all American.🤦🏿‍♂️

Fortifying the VRA might have put Clinton over the finish line. Beyond Biden, I have little faith in Democratic judicial picks. Had a President Clinton nominated 'moderates' like Garland, our voting rights would be just as vulnerable as they are today. I hope Dems have finally learned their lesson.🤦🏿‍♂️

(2/5) THE IMPACT: Today’s ruling could: ✅Help secure 27 more red seats in Congress ✅Cement GOP House control for at least a generation ✅Rewrite redistricting rules for state legislatures, city councils and school boards Without racial protections, maps could be redrawn with almost no limits.

How would it secure 27 GOP seats? Aren't the red states more or less already gerrymandered to hell and back? And doesn't this also allow Blue states to do the same?

(3/5) WHAT'S NEXT: The case will return to lower courts for more proceedings, and the ~20 lawsuits on hold pending a decision in Callais will likely move forward. Florida — the only state left in the ongoing redistricting war — could benefit from today’s decision before the 2026 election.
