My least favorite day of the year, for 11 years now. I wish I had been a better man, good enough for her to want to continue to live. Our 20+ years together should have only been the beginning.

Went away for a few days and my 18 year old cat has been attached since I got home. He was my wife's baby and has been stuck with me for half his life.

The Temu Boba and puppet movie was even worse than I expected. Sad to see such a terrible end to something I enjoyed so much as a child and young adult.

I hope that when the AI bubble inevitably bursts, the tech bros currently profiting from it are the only ones that suffer consequences. That won't be the case, but it's still my wish.

Today is the 251st anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops. I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III. Remind you of anyone?

Nobody is going to resign, nobody is going to invoke the 25th amendment, we don’t have the votes to impeach him. Find Candidates you can support and insist on election security from people already in office.

Opposing political violence requires that we condemn Charlie Kirk’s death. Opposing political violence also requires that we condemn Charlie Kirk’s life. Charlie Kirk spent his life encouraging his allies on the far-right to think violence was legitimate and concerns about it were fake.

SCOTUS: We stopped Affirmative Action to ban targeting based on race, but we allow legacy admissions, white Afrikaaner "refugees," targeting of Latinos, over-policing Black communities, & bans on Afghan refugees and South Korean workers—because its okay to target based on race to help white people.

I love how certain subsets of the media still have a fixation on Millennials Who Do Things In An Annoyingly Different Way. At least we're actually challenging how the world works, Frank.

There used to be a debate about whether reading actually improved people as people or it was just another way to pass the time. I feel like the 21st century decline of reading and simultaneous rise in ~waves hand at all that~ provides a pretty clear answer.

I'm not an alarmist by nature, but I believe the actions of the next administration will have catastrophic consequences that will last the rest of my life. It's hard to be positive with that particular sword of Damocles hanging over us all.

You are up to date.
