One of my biggest fears is that President Trump will attempt to disrupt or cancel the November elections, by declaring a (false) national emergency or some other action. Can we be prepared to act swiftly enough to stop that if it happens?

Even though he was not properly reprimanded, a persistent pattern of violating court orders can severely damage the prosecution's credibility and, in the worst-case scenario, lead to the collapse of the case entirely. What an idiot.

No subtlety here. DJT has attacked elections since his first primary loss in Iowa [run by the GOP]. He falsely claimed the 2.9M additional votes for Hillary in 2016 were cast by non-citizens. He still denies his 7M vote loss to Biden in 2020. Then Jan 6. He will pull out all stops for 2026.

Trump will do anything to stop honest and fair elections. He's dirty and guilty as sin for his Epstein activities as well as his war crimes on the high seas and in Gaza.

I wonder what would happen if he just announced there won't be any election of any kind for the foreseeable future. All boards and legislative bodies, city, state, federal and municipal, including school boards, will only be seated by his offices or his duly appointed representatives. Then what?

Trump is going to do everything possible to sabotage the midterms. And that means he could get very dangerous.

So reminiscent of 2020. He had so many schemes going-there were boxes of spaghetti thrown against the wall hoping one would stick. All to keep himself out of jail. From there, he's just gone on to fleeing and vengeance. Typical narcissist.

And the R leadership seems ok with it…
