I’m using wf: christophertkenny.com/wf/ (Admittedly, I’m probably the only one using it because I wrote it)
great package! we do something related with prefab: not downloading skills necessarily, but helping build templates for projects, which could include skills, etc. one could use wf::add_skill within a prefab theme, for example
If I know the url/repo, I just tell Claude to ingest it that way. For our tidymodels skills, we added some additional instructions in case that did not work: github.com/tidymodels/s...
Basically, markdown files that give an agent instructions on how to accomplish some specific task. platform.claude.com/docs/en/agen...
I'm a fan of `npx skills add`, but I also made a small similar wrapper in btw: `btw skills install`. There's also `btw_skill_install_github()` and related functions you can call from R: posit-dev.github.io/btw/dev/refe...
Also, the next version of {btw} will ship (soon!) with `btw_skill_install_project()` to install all skills shipped a project's dependencies -- i.e. R packages with skills in inst/skills posit-dev.github.io/btw/dev/refe...
@grrrck.xyz question on {btw}: it looks like the skill-loading functions put the skills into .btw/skills by default. Does Claude recognize this location? I thought Claude only recognized skills in the .claude/skills directory?
