13 is young adult. You’re not gonna take a 5 year old to this movie.

The maturity, violence, and darkness really shocked me… and that’s so awesome! We need films like this, that can push boundaries of the medium and tell stories that aren’t afraid to be dark while also skewing towards a younger audience. What a film! I did a video on it! youtu.be/W_DOPRLLuu0?...

I'm see it tonight. Doesn't sound like I want my 8 year old granddaughter to see it just yet -- I have a hard time letting her watch the city bombing scenes in HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE or earthquake scenes in THE WIND RISES. I suspect she could handle it though -- that will be up to her parents.

This was the most 80's dark fantasy movie I've seen in decades! Kids today are gonna be traumatized just like we were. 🤣 During the final fight scene I said, "At least they're not showing blood." Cue big slash and blood splatter!

It goes surprisingly hard.

That was the first cartoon I saw where somebody cussed. I did not expect that from Transformers. But it felt right considering I had just seen Optimus Prime die.

Summed up 80's dark fantasy for kids right there.
