I started a new job and I work night so I haven't been working on my layouts except on my days off. I just finished the storyboard sketches for chapter 6. There's 14 chapters in all in book 1 but the first 6 were 41 written pages and the other 8 are only 35 pages. More than half way!

So if Republicans can just blatantly ignore the law and the constitution than we can elect @mayor.nyc.gov as president right?

I'm looking at the page counts for some books and apparently 125 pages isn't super long. The Deadendia books have between 240 - 256 pages. Are you listening? has 320. Hello Sunshine has 384 and On a Sunbeam has 544! I guess I'll start working on the other 6 chapters of book 1. 🤔

I'm redrawing my concept cover for book 1. Salomé is the same. The crab is mostly different. Haven't drawn the cat yet and I'm not gonna have the red panda. maybe I'll draw a fox and/or owl. 🤔

I redraw everything 40 times so I do the doodle, then the tubes, then the 1st attempt at line work to see how i like it. Next it'll do backgrounds and redraw it all as good as I can.... I guess. 🤷‍♂️

It was my first movie date. I was in 10th or 11th grade and my date got really mad when I burst out laughing when the guy hit the propeller. 🤣 I'm so old.

I did it. I finished the ( very very basic ) layouts for book 1. 125 pages. Which I consider lucky because 25 is one of my favorite numbers. Now I just need to draw it pretty and pitch it... so something... we'll see. ( The Red panda does not appear in book 1. )

After 800ish layout doodles I have finally reached the end of what I am assuming would be the end of Book 1. In novella terms, which is where I started, I am 2 pages from the end of chapter 6 of 28. Some chapters are shorter than others. So I'm assuming 4 books/graphic novels total.

I finally got off my fat 🍑 and finished the layouts for chapter 5. I'm over 100 pages now. I think this book might need to be split into 4 books at this point. 😅

I've been having a hell of a time drawing my main character in a way I like but then I just doodled this drawing. Maybe I just need to step away from drawing digitally and print my layouts out and draw on top of them like most people do? Then i can rescan and ink them digitally... Hmmm. 🤔

I'm reading The October Girl by @matthewdowsmith.bsky.social and it's inspiring me to try to use thicker lines on my book. I'm starting with the big spash page because that's easy but the level of detail he puts in his normal panels with how thick his lines are is mind blowing. We'll see...

I've never made a comic before, so I'm doing what everyone says not to do and making a giant graphic novel. Because I'm the most stubborn person of all time. I'm 2 pages into chapter 4 of 28. After I rough layout all the pages, I'll figure out how I wanna draw it and make it pretty. Good times.

I think competition shows ( Masterchef, Project Runway, Top Model, etc. ) should give everyone a score and the person with the lowest score goes home. Like, you can win a challenge but if you've been on the bottom the whole time and you have the lowest score you're still leaving.

Heard about the rumored next Metroid game "Ravenous". And I'd like to remind Nintendo that Dread was $60 and only sold 3 million copies. Hollow Knight was $15 and sold 15M and Silksong was $20 and sold 7+M so far. And Hollow Knight had a bunch of free dlc. And both were way longer. Just saying.

I am so confused by Dennis Quaid. Does he not watch his own movies? Enemy Mine, The Day After Tomorrow, Dragonheart, Strange World, etc. He'd hate them! He has made a career out of making "woke" movies. How does he go from that to full crazy maga?!?
