Ah so now there's an "ask Copilot" option in the right click menu of windows. If I right click a file and accidentally click that option, it'll upload the file to copilot automatically. This is obviously a security nightmare, so I'll just turn it off.... ah right, you can't. STOP DOING THIS

May I suggest Windows 11 IoT enterprise LTSC? Everything shitty about windows 11 stripped out. No MS apps, no app store, no AI and it doesn't install feature updates. Just security updates. The ISO is on archive dot org and getting keys is pretty cheap or just google "Microsoft Activation Scripts"

That seems : brilliant Is there something similar for Office? I assume reverting to the last sand version of Office would be nice if possible (I have to use MS Office because of large corporate clients and pesky compatibility issues with MS formats meaning you get issues with Libre Office etc)

I can't say, don't use office for work or anything. Probably not though. 11 IoT is made for businesses for stuff like digital signage so it's stripped bare for that purpose. I can't think of a reason an equivilent would exist for office.

I use Claude for work (programming) and fine that Gemini is nice for trying to aggregate data I have no idea how to otherwise find for a search and whatnot. But I at least opted into both of those. The forced stuff really does irritate people. Even if it's just U2 songs!

I would probably be a huge fan of LLMs if the opening salvo hadn't been "we stole your music so we can automate art for a few years before we achieve a machine god that's also for some reason a slave, now here's slop in every channel and garbage you can't remove in every app, fuck you peasant" lol

The technology is cool, it's a genuine shame everyone involved in the upper echelons of developing it is the biggest fucking evil chud possible lol, but they are so now I hate it lol
