I wish there was an organization that sold new 4K UHD movies on Blu-ray discs, too. I have invested a lot of capital on a home theatre system capable of playing 4K UHD movies, but find it impossible to buy the movies because streaming companies get priority in providing inferior quality service.

Gods y'all *really* don't like the fact that digital purchases exist at all, which is not the point at all of anything. Fun fact: even physical disks don't protect your ownership, they could easily have the disk get scratched to remove your ownership of that game even with physical!

How tf am I part of the problem if I don't even buy shit from Sony in the first place Like explain how someone not in a c-suite position at or a shareholder of Sony is in any way even able to affect anything.

Stop buying from xbox, steam, gog, epic, nintendo, netflix, amazone or any other digital storefronts. The solution is to only own physical conten even if it mean getting a new hobby.

They'll only learn the hard way. Stop buying their games and don't buy their next console. They only listen when you hit them in the wallet.

The idea of owning nothing and being "happy" is backfiring...

Remember GOG exists too. If gaming consumers weren't willing to give money for things they can't own, none if the big DRM publishers would survive. And, while you may not own anything apart from a license on GOG, just the same... The installers mostly all work without a license check, perpetually.

You silly sheep 😂 You should petition for larger capacity discs, because that's the main reason games discs are going away. THE GAMES NO LONGER FIT 😂

Petitions?

When I sighed it was at 12k now its over 40k the last time I checked. Keep it up gamers

It won't make any difference. This has been a long time coming.

Really hoping every single person who signed this doesn't play games on PC and stops gaming with this generation. You are extinct, this has been inevitable for 25 years.

Over 50'000 signatures! Let's keep it going!

Another technique : don't buy a diskless console.

Sony sets the prices in the store, on Steam the companies behind the games set the prices. This is a huge difference as years-old games frequently retain the $60+ launch price on Sony while the discs are available new and used at lower prices. They're killing their competitors.

Archive disk images of the games.
