it exists, but it's difficult, and practitioners are spread pretty thin. it mostly just accelerates natural healing processes, so it can be a lifesaver, but it's not a perfect cure for a lot of things. it's also pretty easy to fuck up with it and just kill someone accidentally lol

(all that said: if you know a healer they could make something tiny and extremely annoying like a hangnail vanish almost instantly so it is in some ways an actual miracle)

KINDA. it's less that they can clearly read their thoughts and more that they can sense the presence of something that HAS thoughts. like picking up a faint radio signal but not knowing what the sound is. different animals read differently, too (relevant screenshot from chapter 0)
