Showing my gf the Dominion Tank Police OVA's and I'm reminded that while GitS is the Shirow Masamune manga that influenced me the most, my favorite to read is always Dominon. I think he really shines when he's extra goofy. Also we get the OG anime catgirls, the glorious Puma Twins!

I love that when Shirow returned to the Dominion series in the 90s, the main change was "The Puma sisters are no longer henchmen who show up here and there, they're are now main characters in the Tank Police squad." Inspired.

Leona's tank is so small that Anapuma has to squish herself down into super deformed mode to fit, ha.

The OVAs were good even if they transformed Leona into a clone of Noa Izumi from Patlabor, right down to her cute name for her vehicle.

What I find so interesting is that the first Dominion OVA and the Patlabor OVA both came out just a couple months apart from each other. I guess there was something in the drinking water...
