"Hi, I'm Mike Pondsmith, and I'm the guy who killed your favorite character!" "But we haven't even started yet..." "They were dead the moment they came into my game."

I think we underestimate the appeal of antigambling politics because every problem gambler is surrounded by 3-10 people who are absolutely sick of their shit.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

the hardest picture of her imaginable tho

Also on a related note, the complete version of Remnant 2 is just £10/$13 here. HUGE recommendation. Very Dark Tower inspired shooter-soulslike fusion. As with the first Remnant, they made three times more game than they had to. Each playthrough is drawn from a big pool of quests and bosses.

Oooh, nice mod! Remnant 2 was an excellent game, but one of the few gripes I had was that it didn't get a roguelike mode like the original game. Well, now it does. www.nexusmods.com/remnant2/mod... Start within nothing but your underwear and a pistol, pick upgrades and perks until you're a god.

we made it to the weekend 🫡

So watching season 2 of Edgerunners,me and @jeeznomad.bsky.social have decided that Johnny would absolutely hate Roman. But he would make up the most asinine reasons possible to justify having beef with a twelve year old.

this is a very reasonable reaction to seeing an N64 controller for the first time

in case you were wondering: he still does this

What could be more Halloween than a BAT? How about a bat colored like a JACK-O-LANTERN? Let's meet the Painted Bat (Kerivoula picta), also called the butterfly bat, native to SE Asia. 🦇🎃 (📷: MerlinTuttle.org)

I got a killer photo of y'all at the start of the day and had a few run-ins

Buddy thinks I taste delicious.

Backrooms probably slaps so hard for people who have never done an Unreal Engine 5 level design tutorial

The last time I played Deus Ex was during the pandemic, out of sheer perversity. And now, a few years later, this line hits really hard:

since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

Augh. Watched the 1958 The Fly today and it's so sad! Felt like crying. I'm such a softie.

Nothing but respect for MY Digger

Look, I’m just saying that between kurt and Goliath, I miiiiiight have developed a kink for demons being these passionate, intelligent, absolute gentlemen that have given me an unrealistic idea of how men should behave. And upon finding out men, in fact, are not like this, I became a lesbian.

Rule 1 of good fantasy: kill all slavers

Fiiine I'll make more dragon doctors and other comics! You got me.

It's not even the ethics of it. My career, my hobbies, my free time, hell, my whole life took off once I fully left Twitter. It is a place to go if you want to be stuck in a neverending race war feedback loop. Like not using ChatGPT, not using Twitter is a superpower. Remain employable; stay off it.

Was in a grumpy mood today. Dunno why. Hate that. Feel little better out of the shower though

I love Lupin III in all its forms but Part 2 is the best because it's categorically stupidest. I don't want violent pulp, I want Lupin finding out that Jesus had a twin sister who's a vampire. Perfection.

It's genuinely something special, I adore the visuals, especially the rotoscoped animations - all the animations were the devs acting out the actions and drawing the characters over that, it's such a bold style.

Why does Korea have a holiday for the alphabet? Because unlike other writing systems that evolved over centuries, Hangul was the work of one dude who solved mass illiteracy by sitting down and creating a brand new fully-formed system from scratch that anyone can learn almost instantly.

In case you thought "dude is the jerkoff hand gesture incarnate" wasn't a good enough reason to not buy the dude's games, get a load of this:

Unreasonably happy I was able to spell "Niqab" in a game of Scrabble recently. You know how hard it is to find proper words that have a Q but no U?

When Neil Stephenson wrote Snow Crash in the early 90s, he described one type of cyberpunk: "gargoyles", guys wearing computers all over them and constantly scanning other people. They were considered repulsive and annoying. HOW DID NEIL KNOW?

every time i see anything peanuts related i think of that incredible snoopy commodore 64 kusoge and i know it's @brossentia.bsky.social's fault (positive) i didnt really have any peanuts brain associations before this idk it feels like it wasnt so much of a thing in australia

THIS ISNT EVEN MY FINAL FORM

Comics seller, I need your freshest comics. I'm going into battle.

TIL that the opening of Onimusha 3 was directed by Takashi Yamazaki, director of Godzilla: Minus One! Sadly, nearly every upload of it is a stretched, GenAI abomination. So, I ripped and painstakingly upscaled what I consider the greatest video game cinematic ever from its 2007 PC release! Enjoy!

I love this dumb dog. youtube.com/shorts/zxdvg...
