BOYHOOD is a masterpiece, a quiet magic trick that breaks my heart every time I watch it. I showed it to both of my sons on their 18th birthdays, and those experiences were so emotionally powerful. Linklater is truly our best director about time and how it changes us.

Linklater is like a folk hero of cinema. He truly has worked out a groove that is just him. His love for film comes through in everything he makes. I absolutely adore his work.
