If we were a really Christian nation, our leaders would do what Jesus bade his followers do: welcome the stranger and the migrant--especially the poor--at the borders, and wash their feet and break bread with them. But we aren't, and our leaders only want to look Christian, not BE Christian.

I think he is a preacher and I am guessing this was one of his messages posted on his TikTok, so you’ll need to understand the context. He doesn’t use religious terms so often when he is campaigning.
