Have you noticed, lately, or noticed people around you commenting, that there just seems to be no money anymore. There's no money for companies to make the tv shows you like, the video games you like, the local diner you like shut down, no one you know can find a job. Think about that in context of

AI is now the biggest investment in all of US history as a percentage of GDP. Datacenter construction is up, all other construction is down. "AI Is Squeezing Out the Rest of the Stock Market," reported WSJ 2 days ago. We basically bet the whole economy on the most optimistic visions panning out.

Just to be clear, there is NO SIGNS this investment is ever going to pan out. This is going to be the most predictable economic collapse in human history while potentially being the most devastating with the leaders we have.

In other words, once that money is spent, it stays spent. It doesn't turn into something useful later like investing in, I dunno, railroad lines would. They're just putting resources in a rocket and shooting them off into space

I just keep thining about, the zillions of dollars in fake money that are being generated in SpaceX & Anthropic stock. How much of that is being converted to real money, used to buy durable things, by the people running those companies. If Oracle collapsed tomorrow Ellison would still own Paramount.

Part of the point of corporations is they can own the debt instead of you. As if the king has a pool of servants he can send to kill and steal, and then when they're caught it is the servant assassinated instead of the king. Not sure what Ellison's personal exposure is. Or *which* Ellison is exposed

Sure. Now imagine you have 2 corporations. You own "Orc". It borrows a lot of money, deep into debt but in the short term it has a lot of money. It pays you with that money, a lot. You put the money into corporation "Sky", technically owned by your son. "Orc" goes into receivership. "Sky" survives

Wut, m8? No, if you go bankrupt, you have to sell assets. Are the studios owned by Elisons? No. But the purchase was financed with debt based off equity. If you cant pull it from what an asset would make, you either cover or sell. No Oracle, no cover, proceed to receivership.
