Like all rapists, he's enraged at being told "no." If some aide had just told him "it's in progress, sir" he would have forgotten about it. But he was told "No," so now he's obsessed with forcing it upon us.

I thought I read somewhere (?) that the second “part” would be developed as a private course with life-time (free) membership for past and present presidents. How convenient!

A tightly scheduled 18-hole golf course can accommodate at most 300 golfers/day. On a weekend with good weather, the NPS estimates that at least 10,000 people visit the East Potomac Park . It looks like Trump's redesigned golf course would consume all of the park (except for the tennis courts).

But for no good reason, I suspect Trump might also have plans for the tennis courts. Always be grifting. A world class golf course like Trump wants to create needs a luxurious clubhouse and valet parking which would be on a long term lease to someone with extensive private golf club experience.

It also served a heck of a lot of people. bsky.app/profile/bruc...

Looks that way. Sporting event prices have gone up targeting the upper middle class. There’ll be nothing left for the rest to do if they keep up this trend. bsky.app/profile/bruc...
