To understand the true scale of the storm and its impact on the ocean surface I took a look at the sea surface temperature anomaly before and after the storm. This from @copernicusmarine.bsky.social MyOcean Portal. Upwelling, heat extraction to fuel storm. Across a very large area 🤯
