Wasn't sure the day would ever come but I finally ditched their search. Also dropped docs and gmail earlier this year.

Google removing this quote is basically them becoming aware that capitalism demands you make unethical decisions, so they had to face the terrible dilemma: do I remain a good person or do I become a billionaire?

Honestly by how the world is inshittifycating I think something as important as an internet search engine needs to controlled by a independent government agency than a company. The EU should probably do this.

I remember when they made Gmail and everyone was like 'sure, those terms are dodgy, but it's Google, you can trust them.' The tragedy is that they really were trying to do good by making free, stable e-mail without all the obnoxious storage limits and restrictions.
