I haven't seen AHS but the fact that it's her frame of reference for an anthology series is -sending me-. Honestly I think the biggest vibe's that Resident Evil doesn't shy away with toying with its own idea of horror. Resident Evil 4's -so- different from the others yet its quite beloved.
