can’t tell if my antidepressants aren’t working or if they just weren’t built for this. like, zoloft was introduced in the 90s it barely needed to work then. if you got sad you could just buy a house.

I remember all the commercials with the sad Zoloft blob and you're right, it feels kinda quaint you still went for little blob walks and you experience blob sadness. you have not yet experienced 9/11

I did not realize the Zoloft blob is like a core memory for millennials, but look at us lol now all pharma ads are racially ambiguous people taking trips to misty west coast beaches or laughing while eating salads. proto ai slop

Omigosh, I saw that film for the first time last night and was going to post here about it before seeing your comment! The biggest problems they had were “my job is dumb” and “I have credit card debt”. Oh, the nineties. . .

Absolutely worth looking into. Doctors often prescribe based on minimizing possible side effects, understandably. But I really benefited from the recommendations of my therapist based on his better understanding of my actual psychological needs. There's also been many innovations in those 10 years!

I’ll never forget reading the story of the woman back then who strangled her own baby, took the clothing off the corpse, and sold the clothes to buy more gin

Man it 10 years they will have new stuff on the market where you basically feel like a brain floating in water in a sunny beach They are abiyt to become POTENT! as the new baseline for us all is much higher

I max out after about 5 years or so on every med. Sucks. Altho, the meds do get better. I need a really good psych. Oddly, west coast psychs are the best. 🤷‍♀️

Well, in the ruined blue cities in red and blue states they are forcing people out of home ownership by design. Own nothing and be happy. Out here folks can afford a home, taxes are low, no murders or shootings, schools are normal and people are happy. Just 20 minutes from a deep blue sesspool.
