Ottawa municipal candidates could learn a lot: "COPE proved it could devastatingly message and mobilize against a multimillion-$ political machine... COPE also made a major concession to the Greens... when its own mayoral candidate... suspended her campaign to avoid splitting the progressive vote"

The questions I sent in for the #Ottawa mayor candidates debate tonight: 1) Neil Saravanamuttoo previously said he was against splitting the vote, and implied that he'd drop out if he was behind and his candidacy could undermine a potential defeat of incumbent Mark Sutcliffe. So, what about now?

Anyway here is the actual #Ottawa #mayor debate by CBC with Mark Sutcliffe, Jeff Leiper, Neil Saravanamuttoo, and Alex Lawson. #AllWhitePanel I listened to about half; not very exciting. But when they got to the "yes/no" questions, the answers sure weren't direct "yes" or "no" for the most part lol

And here's the most recent poll, from Quoros Consulting. The undecideds were 33%, but of those with a preference: Sutcliffe 42% Leiper 35% Saravanamuttoo 10% Lawson 7% others 6% But #NeilForMayor is saying "it's anyone's race". All bsky replies are asking him to drop out bsky.app/profile/neil...
