Given the dependency on signtool.exe, can I safely assume this does Authenticode signing only?
Do the Office SIPs ship on Windows or does Office need to be installed on the agent if signing Office file types?
I do appreciate them making this available but how many individuals are going to need 5000 signatures a month? I might be interested if there was a hobbyist tier with maybe 100 signatures for much less. That said it still seems cheaper than paying for a real code signing cert even at $10/m.
The cost is great but I find the other killer feature is how easy it is to get a verified identity. Compared to other CA process this was quick and painless and done within 30 minutes.
"Trusted Signing certificates have a three-day validity, so time stamping is critical for continued successful validation of a signature beyond that three-day validity period. Trusted Signing recommends the use of Trusted Signing’s Microsoft Public RSA Time Stamping Authority"
