So the Clacton by-election is going to be a run-off between a clown solely interested in media attention via cheap stunts who plays a cartoon villain for social media idiots without the slightest interest in representing Clacton or doing the work of a parliamentarian... and Count Binface?

At the risk of derailing/asking a stupid question: Why is it in the interest of the established parties to NOT participate? If a seat is up for contest, why not try for it?

Reform leads by like 60 points in Clacton and participating would just validate the idea that a local election win would somehow erase all the -waves hands- alleged crime and alleged crime adjacent behaviour.
