So the Clacton by-election is going to be a run-off between a clown solely interested in media attention via cheap stunts who plays a cartoon villain for social media idiots without the slightest interest in representing Clacton or doing the work of a parliamentarian... and Count Binface?

Just Nigel guaranteeing himself a prolonged martyr/victimhood/anti-establishment campaign, stealing oxygen from a Labour government reboot under Burnham, and strengthening transatlantic ties with Vance, Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 financial backers looking for European implementors..

The irony is that I'm pretty sure Count Binface, after a brief dog-who-caught-the-car adjustment period, would be a much harder working MP and a better representative in parliament for the people of Clacton.

Possibly (although this was Channel 4 News who are usually more objective than GBBC News), but we'll find out when the by-election actually happens. I don't expect that my view that Clacton should be assigned an area for RAF bomber squad target practice will change.

I genuinely believe Binface would do a better job for the people of Clacton than Farage. No offense to The Count, but I also genuinely believe an actual, inanimate, bin would do a better job than him.

I instantly clocked the joke format here but still couldn't read the "clown solely interested in media attention... " part and in any way convince myself it was describing Binface and not Farage 😂

Or they discourage serious people from bothering to vote when the discourse is complete nonsense but the consequences couldn’t be more serious.

Reform leads by like 60 points in Clacton and participating would just validate the idea that a local election win would somehow erase all the -waves hands- alleged crime and alleged crime adjacent behaviour.

You, like me, have the great pleasure of at the start of D&D games trying to explain UK politics to innocent foreign bystanders. It's always a challenge to make it sound real but this one might be too much for me, not gonna lie.
