"AI" exists for only one reason: companies like Dell and Intel were worried about the computing industry leveling off as there was no real justification for most consumers to keep buying, since computers have been good enough for every task for decades.
AI was created to drive demand for computing…

We spent 40 years bringing personal computers up to full capability, and then Intel and Nvidia said "oops, that's not profitable enough, let's go back to the 1950s mainframe model so everything is rent."
I tried to troubleshoot my internet Last week and I had to spend 15 minutes dealing with their text ai thing (100% unhelpful) before they’d even let me call
And who invented Clippy? Melinda Gates. She was the person in charge of Microsoft Bob which gave us Clippy.

Ai isn’t economically feasible, it isn’t as powerful as they are claiming and it’s really quite appalling at the consumer level. They are forcing it down our throats because if it doesn’t get uptake it will die off because it’s environmentally so devastating. Employing humans is more effective but
They want a world with minimal out lay for wages, which is a zero sum game because the harvest revenue of Govts is the lower and middle classes. Corporations get their bulk income from Governments. Break the Govt and you run everything is the playbook. Ai is a weapon.
